Imagine walking through a glass atrium entrance into a sunny cafe for coffee and conversation or lunch. Look at the daily roster of activities: Tai Chi and Yoga classes, line dancing, watercolor instruction, a Volunteer Leadership Academy, a course on researching genealogy, personal nutrition counseling, a computer lab, a focus group with elected officials and a fitness center equipment demonstration. Observe the PACE program bustling on one side providing holistic care to nursing home eligible seniors. Check out the friendly competition at the pool table and around the chess board. Note the hustle of Meals on Wheels drivers preparing for their daily routes delivering over 1,200 meals to homebound seniors. Here comes a lively group of retirees ready to be specially trained as Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program counselors. Stroll around and look at the art work on display as you listen to the ukulele students strumming their newest tune.
